LTV.ai sends from a subdomain of your own domain, not from a generic address. Setting it up means adding DNS records that prove you authorized the sending. This is not part of onboarding. Do it before your first send.

Run the wizard

Go to Settings > Connections and open Sending email.

Sender name

The name recipients see in their inbox. Usually your brand name.

Email domain

The subdomain campaigns will send from, for example mail.yourbrand.com. Using a subdomain keeps campaign sending reputation separate from your transactional and personal email.

DNS configuration

LTV.ai generates the records you need. If your DNS provider is supported, you can authorize LTV.ai to add them for you and skip the manual step. Otherwise, copy each record into your DNS provider.

Verification

LTV.ai checks that the records have propagated. This is usually minutes, but DNS can take up to 48 hours depending on your provider.

Track progress

Go to Settings > Email Infrastructure to see where setup has reached. The stages are:
  1. Not started
  2. Getting started
  3. Domain configured
  4. Verifying DNS records
  5. DNS verified
  6. Email authentication ready
  7. Secure links configured
  8. SSL activated
  9. Inbox created
  10. Setup complete
If a stage fails, the page tells you which record is wrong. The most common cause is a conflicting existing SPF record on the same domain.

After verification

Your first campaign is your warm-up send and is volume capped while LTV.ai establishes your domain’s reputation. See Warm-up and sending limits.
