# Send your first campaign

> Installation, onboarding, and your first send

This covers installation through to your first send. Most of the setup is automatic.

## Before you start

You need a Shopify store with products and order history, and access to your domain's DNS records.

    Install from the Shopify App Store, or use the direct install link from your account manager. Shopify will ask you to approve the app's permissions.

    The permission list is long, because LTV.ai installs as part of the wider ShopToken platform app. The scopes its email features actually use cover customers, orders, products, inventory, collections, and discount codes. Write access to customers keeps unsubscribe status in sync with your store, and write access to discounts lets LTV.ai create codes for campaigns that use them.   <Step title="Set up your brand">
    Enter your website address. LTV.ai reads your site and pulls your logo, colors, and fonts automatically, then shows them to you to confirm or change.

  <Step title="Connect your store and sending">
    Connect Shopify if you have not already, and connect Klaviyo if you use it. You can skip this step and do it later under **Settings > Connections**.

  <Step title="Choose where campaigns land">
    Connect Slack if you want finished campaigns delivered there for approval. This step is optional.

  Onboarding is three steps: **Brand**, **Store and sends**, and **Delivery**. Sending domain setup is not part of onboarding. It happens separately in Settings, and you should do it before your first send.

## Set up your sending domain

Go to **Settings > Connections** and open **Sending email**. The wizard walks you through your sender name, your sending domain, DNS records, and verification. If your DNS provider is supported, LTV.ai can add the records for you.

Until this is done, you cannot send. See [Set up your sending domain](/connect/sending-domain).

## Create your first campaign

Open [**Campaign Creator**](/create/campaign-creator) and describe what you want in a sentence. LTV.ai generates a complete email, then walks you through three stages: **Draft**, **Audience**, and **Schedule**.

## What happens after you send

Your Shopify data syncs continuously in the background. Initial sync starts within about 15 minutes of install, and catalog data refreshes every 30 minutes after that. You can build a campaign before the first sync finishes, but audience counts will be incomplete until it does.

Open and click data appears within 24 to 48 hours. A written campaign report is generated about 36 hours after the send. See [Campaign reports](/measure/campaign-reports).

  Your first send is your domain's warm-up send and is capped. LTV.ai starts at roughly 100 recipients and scales up daily from there. See [Warm-up and sending limits](/send/warmup-and-limits).
