# Deliverability

> Authentication, bounce handling, and what LTV.ai does and does not monitor

LTV.ai sends on your own authenticated domain and handles the mechanics of staying deliverable.

## Authentication

Set up during sending domain configuration and maintained automatically afterwards.

| Record    | Purpose                                                  |
| --------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| SPF | Authorizes LTV.ai to send for your domain |
| DKIM | Signs each message so receivers can verify it |
| DMARC | Tells receivers how to treat mail that fails SPF or DKIM |
| MAIL FROM | Sets the return path used for bounce processing |

See [Set up your sending domain](/connect/sending-domain).

## Bounces and complaints

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Bounces" icon="arrow-turn-down">
    Hard bounces are recorded and excluded from all future sends across every brand in your account.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Complaints" icon="triangle-exclamation">
    Anyone who marks a campaign as spam is added to your brand exclusion list immediately.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

Both run automatically on every send. See [Exclusions and suppression](/audience/exclusions).

## Send ordering

Within a campaign, more engaged recipients are sent to earlier. Early positive signals improve how the rest of the send is treated by receiving mail providers.

## Plain text alternative

Every campaign gets a plain text version generated automatically alongside the HTML. Sending both is a small but real deliverability gain.

## What LTV.ai does not do

Being straight about the gaps is more useful than implying coverage that is not there.

* **No inbox placement testing.** LTV.ai does not run seed list tests to predict whether you land in the primary tab.
* **No sender reputation score.** LTV.ai does not ingest Google Postmaster Tools or Microsoft SNDS data.
* **No DMARC report analysis.** Your DMARC records are set up, but aggregate reports are not collected or interpreted.
* **No automatic list sunsetting.** Long term non openers are not dropped for you. Build a list to exclude them if you want that. See [Lists](/audience/lists).

<Note>
  If deliverability is a concern for your brand, your account manager can review your setup and sending pattern directly.
</Note>

## Keeping complaint rate low

Mail providers start throttling around a 0.1 percent complaint rate. The practical levers are sending to engaged recipients, keeping frequency reasonable, and making the unsubscribe link easy to find rather than hidden.
